We started this week off with a wonderful chapel service lead by Matt Neiman. He talked about superheroes and how God is our superhero. In English we worked on our devotion project that the eighth grade is writing for young students. We got a grant so we can make it into an actual devotion book! The whole grade was excited. On Thursday, we went down to the gym and all the Jr. High teachers did a cute little skit to get people to join the super bowl academics. It was a great and funny skit; all the teachers wore football jerseys. This week could not have gotten any better!

This last Wednesday, the Windy City Players performed a short play of Beauty and the Beast. Another thing that happened this week is that both eighth grade classes have begun to read The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle, which is about a teenage girl who takes a voyage to America from England. One last thing to mention, is that last month’s box top winners were Mr. Lambert’s third grade.
