This week has been pretty good. We have a three day weekend this weekend, so that’s pretty exciting. Yesterday was Cole’s birthday, so today we celebrated with pizza. Today we also did our  recycling bins again.  Right now we are playing Ultimate Frisbee in gym and we all are having fun, and to top it all off Halloween is this weekend, one of my favorite holidays. This has been a great week.

This week has been exciting.  Immanuel did not have school Monday and Tuesday.  8F began to “Glog” in CTA.  A glog is like a blog but much cooler.  On Thursday we had a vision test and most of us did well.  Immanuel had a pep assembly also on Thursday that recognized the fall sports players.  100% of our 8F class wore maroon and gold!  The Yearbook Design contest came to a close on Friday.  I participated in the contest.  Next week Immanuel will not have school on Friday because of parent teacher conference.  See you later!

This week we had an award party for the students who had no Afterschool Detentions for the first quarter!  Every single student in 8F got to go to the party.  Not one of us had an afterschool during the first quarter!  We got to have pop, pizza, and candy. It was a lot of fun! Wednesday started the second quarter. Today the Seymour High School Band came to our school and they played lots of songs like “Living on a Prayer”,  “Shout!” and “Welcome to the Jungle.” In summary, it was a great week!

From playing kickball at recess to having a “Beach Day” in Literature class I can personally say this is the best week out of the nine weeks we have been in school. During this week a lot of us eighth grader have been showing are support to Breast Cancer Awareness Month by wearing pink and drawing breast cancer signs on our hands. That's not the only reason why this week has been amazing though, because on Thursday during study hall we had students from Seymour High School come and talk to us about Seymour. Did you know, Seymour has ten A.P. Classes! Its the highest in the region! In P.E. This weekend we have been tested for Presidential Fitness by running the mile, doing sit-ups and using our agility in the shuttle run! Today, Friday, we had a “Beach Day” in Literature class! Fellow students participated by wearing sunglasses, lounging on a beach towel, and wearing flip flops while enjoying our Accelerated Reader books! We also enjoyed a Popsicle! What an interesting week!
