This has been a good week in 8 Franke. On Wednesday, we had picture day. Everyone smiled bright and said “cheese” for great pictures. Also, this week, the book fair has been open. It was a great opportunity for all Immanuel students to go and buy some good books, bookmarks, and other cool items. In, English, we wrote phase autobiographies. They had all something to do with ILS. We partner responded, had some peer meetings, revised, and are definitely improving our writing skills. In health class, we had to find a health article, and write a summary about it; it was cool to see find some fun facts about staying healthy. Overall, we had an awesome week. Go Warriors!

This week the Windy City Players came and performed The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. It was pretty good. We also did skits in Health. German students also did skits in German, but I am not in German class. I am glad it is Friday, and I am looking forward to the weekend.

This week of school was just like any other week of school. On Monday, we played soccer in P.E. And our team won four to two. The game was really fun and we had great teamwork. We all had a lot of tests this week. We had a History test on Wednesday, a Math test on Thursday, a P.E. Quiz on Friday, and a Science test on Friday. In English, we have to write a personal narrative. I am writing about Camp Lakeview mud pit. This week has been exhausting, but I am glad that I have a three day weekend. In sports, the Indianapolis Colts beat the Cincinnati Bengals 17 - 13. The Immanuel eighth grade volleyball team improved to 4 – 0 and the boys cross country team finished second in the Jackson County Invitational. We have Labor Day off and our next school day is Tuesday.
