I am a Michigan native, growing up in Bay City, Michigan and attending St. Paul Lutheran School. I attended Western High School (home of the Warriors) and then received my first bachelor's degree in business management and marketing from Northwood University, Midland, MI. Upon graduation I attended Concordia University, Ann Arbor to receive my Lutheran teaching diploma. My master's degree in educational leadership was received from Eastern Michigan University and I received my doctorate in educational leadership from Indiana University. I began my teaching career in Muskegon, Michigan and after three years moved to Eastpointe, Michigan to teach 7th grade. I began my principalship at St. Peter's, Eastpointe in 1992 and in 2001 accepted a call to Immanuel, Seymour where I currently serve. My wife, Chris, teaches kindergarten at St. Paul Lutheran School in Columbus, IN and we are blessed with two boys, Adam and Evan. Adam is married and he and his wife, Erica, have two sons. Evan works at Eli Lilly and lives in Indianapolis. We are blessed to be a part of the fellowship at Immanuel church and school. Every day is a gift received and blessing to share. Dr. Behmlander
