Hello! It is a joy for me to be a Kindergarten teacher at Immanuel. We have developed a wonderful program to help your child learn and grow academically, emotionally, socially and most importantly, spiritually. I believe that communication between parents and teachers creates successful children, so please reach out if you have questions or concerns. I have been a Lutheran School Teacher for 35 years and love teaching my students to read, write, work with numbers and most importantly to learn about Jesus. I have lived in Seymour for the last 21 years. My husband, Todd, and I have two grown sons, two daughters in law and four grandchildren!

Hi! I was born in Seymour, IN, attended school at Cortland Elementary, Shields Jr. High and Seymour High School. I earned a double major in Bible and Elementary Ed from Johnson Bible College (now Johnson University) in Knoxville, TN. After graduating, I moved to Fullerton, CA, to teach K-1st grades at Brea-Olinda Friends Christian School. After three years there, I moved to Eastside Christian School where I taught 1st & 2nd grades, taught after-school computer, & coached 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th grade girls and boys basketball. In addition to those responsibilities, I, also, tutored, mentored teachers in computer software, & was involved in writing Bible curriculum. After 16 years in CA, I moved back to Indiana & have taught at St. Ambrose Catholic School (6-8) and ILS (7-8 Science)(1st & 2nd grades), as well as subbed in all the Seymour Schools.
I am married to Cary, who is a retired engineer at Cummins and farms our 600 acre family farm. We have a son, Andrew (21), a junior at Purdue. I, also, have 2 step-daughters, Jackie (32) & Maddie(25) and her husband, Jake. I love spending time with my family, biking, checking out classic cars, and playing/watching sports-especially basketball! I am thrilled & blessed to be teaching @ILS.

Welcome to ILS! I am Sarah Bumbleburg, one of the two third grade teachers. I am beginning my 24th year in education. I received my Bachelor's degree in general education from Concordia University, River Forest. I earned my Master's Degree in Special Education from Butler University in 2004. I have taught both in the general education classroom and special education classrooms, with 17 years being in special education. My greatest passion is helping children who learn differently, as I believe that all children are capable of learning, they just need to receive the information in a different way. When I'm not in the classroom you can find me with my family playing board games, enjoying dinner out, or just making memories together. I am married to my high school sweetheart, Michael. We have three beautiful daughters, Addison, Gillian, and Haley.

Hello! I am excited to join the staff of Immanuel Lutheran School as a fifth-grade teacher. I started my professional life as a special education teacher in Indianapolis, and after a fifteen-year hiatus (during which I went to law school and worked as an attorney), I am back in the classroom.
I am lucky to be married to an amazing man named Ryan, and God has blessed us with four wonderful children. I grew up in Jackson County, and my family lives in my childhood home.
