I am a Michigan native, growing up in Bay City, Michigan and attending St. Paul Lutheran School. I attended Western High School (home of the Warriors) and then received my first bachelor's degree in business management and marketing from Northwood University, Midland, MI. Upon graduation I attended Concordia University, Ann Arbor to receive my Lutheran teaching diploma. My master's degree in educational leadership was received from Eastern Michigan University and I received my doctorate in educational leadership from Indiana University.
I began my teaching career in Muskegon, Michigan and after three years moved to Eastpointe, Michigan to teach 7th grade. I began my principalship at St. Peter's, Eastpointe in 1992 and in 2001 accepted a call to Immanuel, Seymour where I currently serve.
My wife, Chris, teaches kindergarten at St. Paul Lutheran School in Columbus, IN and we are blessed with two boys, Adam and Evan. Adam is married and he and his wife, Erica, have two sons. Evan works at Eli Lilly and lives in Indianapolis.
We are blessed to be a part of the fellowship at Immanuel church and school. Every day is a gift received and blessing to share.

Hello! It is a joy for me to be a Kindergarten teacher at Immanuel. We have developed a wonderful program to help your child learn and grow academically, emotionally, socially and most importantly, spiritually. I have been a Lutheran School Teacher for 35 years and love teaching my students to read, write, work with numbers and most importantly to learn about Jesus. Hi! I was born in Seymour, IN, attended school at Cortland Elementary, Shields Jr. High and Seymour High School. I earned a double major in Bible and Elementary Ed from Johnson Bible College (now Johnson University) in Knoxville, TN. After graduating, I moved to Fullerton, CA, to teach K-1st grades at Brea-Olinda Friends Christian School. After three years there, I moved to Eastside Christian School where I taught 1st & 2nd grades, taught after-school computer, & coached 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th grade girls and boys basketball. In addition to those responsibilities, I, also, tutored, mentored teachers in computer software, & was involved in writing Bible curriculum. After 16 years in CA, I moved back to Indiana & have taught at St. Ambrose Catholic School (6-8) and ILS (7-8 Science)(1st & 2nd grades), as well as subbed in all the Seymour Schools.
I am married to Cary, who is an engineer at Cummins and farms, and we have a son, Andrew (16), a sophomore at Trinity. I, also, have 2 step-daughters, Jackie (27) & Maddie(20) a sophomore at IUPUI. I love spending time with my family, biking, checking out classic cars, and playing/watching sports-especially basketball! I am thrilled & blessed to be teaching @ILS.

Hello! I am the Resource Room teacher at Immanuel Lutheran School. I graduated from Concordia College in Seward, Nebraska. I received my Reading Specialist Master from Concordia. I am a certified Dyslexia Testing Specialist. I am also a Master Tutor for Dyslexia using the Barton Reading and Spelling Program.
I am married to Pastor Philip Bloch and we have two sons who are attending college. We enjoy traveling together.
I love to work with students and their families. It is a privilege to teach them about their Savior, Jesus Christ. It is encouraging to watch their growth through their years at ILS.

Hello! I am Mrs. Brown. I am the Director of Educational Technology at ILS. I work with teachers on integrating technology into their curriculum and oversee our 1:1 laptop program. I am a graduate of Concordia University, Chicago with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education and a graduate of Concordia University, Wisconsin with a Master's in Educational Design and Technology. Before coming to ILS, I taught first and second grade and computers at St. Peter's Lutheran School in Eastpointe, MI. I have taught first grade, sixth grade, computers, and computer science at ILS. Welcome to ILS! I am Sarah Bumbleburg, one of the two third grade teachers. I am beginning my 22ndt year in education. I received my Bachelor's degree in general education from Concordia University, River Forest. I earned my Master's Degree in Special Education from Butler University in 2004. I have taught both in the general education classroom and special education classrooms, with 17 years being in special education. My greatest passion is helping children who learn differently, as I believe that all children are capable of learning, they just need to receive the information in a different way. When I'm not in the classroom you can find me with my family playing board games, enjoying dinner out, or just making memories together. I am married to my high school sweetheart, Michael. We have three beautiful daughters, Addison, Gillian, and Haley.

Hello! I am excited to join the staff of Immanuel Lutheran School as a fifth-grade teacher. I started my professional life as a special education teacher in Indianapolis, and after a fifteen-year hiatus (during which I went to law school and worked as an attorney), I am back in the classroom.
I am lucky to be married to an amazing man named Ryan, and God has blessed us with four wonderful children. I grew up in Jackson County, and my family lives in my childhood home.

I grew up in the Columbus area, attending St. John's White Creek Elementary School and Columbus North High School. I graduated from Concordia, River Forest, with a BA in K-12 Education, and from Indiana University with a MS in Language Education. I have my Reading Endorsement and am also certified to teach junior high Language Arts and Mathematics.
My husband, Joe, and I are blessed with three children, Alex (and Heather), Emma (and Nick), and Anne (and Eli) and two grandchildren, William and Elta! We love living on our farm and attending Zion Lutheran Church. Athletics, reading, growing flowers, and playing with my grandchildren are my favorite hobbies.
I've enjoyed teaching high school, fifth grade, preschool, and have been delighted to be a part of the Immanuel junior high staff since 2005. I teach English and Literature.

Hello, ILS students and family! My name is Mrs. Megan Keller. My husband, Paul and I live in Brownstown with our daughters, Emily, Olivia and Annie. Our oldest daughter, Alexis, serves as a Hospital Corpsman in the Navy and lives in San Diego, CA.
In May 2022, I completed my Master of Science in Elementary Education at IU. I completed my Bachelor’s at NSU in Tahlequah, OK. This is my 3rd year at ILS and I am delighted to share my love of Christian education with my 3rd grade students!

I am currently in my 19th year in the teaching ministry at Immanuel. I teach religion to my homeroom as well as 6th & 7th grade social studies and 8th grade history / civics.
I grew up in Detroit, Michigan and attended Mt. Calvary Lutheran grade school and Lutheran East high school there. Afterward, I attended Concordia - Ann Arbor (MI) studying social studies (major), history (minor), secondary education, and earned my Lutheran Teaching Diploma and BA in 1999.
In 2006 I graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with my Masters degree in Education (M.Ed.).
I spent 10 years as a volunteer with the American Red Cross as a CPR/ First Aid / AED instructor. I am trained as an Emergency Responder (Medical First Responder) and volunteered working at local first aid stations at Oktoberfest, the County Fair, etc. I also served on a Disaster Action Team responding to local disasters such as floods, fires, storms, etc. and in getting emergency messages to military personnel.
I currently play in the adult hand bell choir at Immanuel Lutheran Church and serve as vice chairperson on the Board of Evangelism.
I enjoy riding my bike, reading, and volunteering.
I live in Seymour with my wife Becky and dog Bella.

I am married to Mike Tracey. I have two children: Jeremiah is a graduate of Ball State and a firefighter for the city of Columbus , and Caitlin is a graduate of Ball State University and works for Infosys of Indianapolis in the information systems department. Jeremiah is married to Kelly (Deppen) Tracey, and I have a granddaughter named Kinley Jo.
