1B Weekly News
May 13-17

We take another NWEA test Wednesday morning-the very first thing-at 8:30, so please make sure your child has plenty of rest and is to school on time.

We've had a shoe tying challenge going on for the past couple weeks. Congratulations to Kaylee, Bryce, and Britton for completing the challenge!!

This is our last week of memory verses.  We will not have spelling words this week or next. We will continue to read and have math homework.

On the last week of school, please send your child with his/her backpack each day, as we will have lots of things to bring home.  It will probably take a couple days of full backpacks to complete the task.  Please make sure the backpack is getting emptied on those days.

We will be going on a field trip on May 13 after chapel.  We will start putting kids in cars at 9:30 and return around 2. Your child will need a sack lunch and comfortable shoes. If you are chaperoning, you will need a sack lunch and comfortable shoes, too.  If your child still rides in a booster seat, please send it with your child the morning of May 13, unless you are a driver. If it is raining, we may come back earlier.

We will take a short walking field trip to learn a little more about Seymour. We will walk around 12:30 til about 2ish on Monday, May 20th.

Happy birthday to Bryce!

Jayden is the "Star" Student

Jayden will bring something to keep us guessing!

Dates to remember:

*May 15- NWEA testing

*May 13-Field trip to Muscatatuck

*May 20-Walking field trip

*May 23-Last day of school; Family Units activities

We will collect offerings on Mondays.  Our offerings in April and May will go to Lutheran World Relief. Thank you in advance for your generosity!

We are often in need of items in our classroom (like tooth holders or chart paper) or playground equipment (like kickballs or jumpropes). I have an Amazon wishlist for our class. If you or a family member would like to support us,here is the link: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1QWJ6YXZSCHGL?ref_=wl_share

Our school has lots of Fund raising opportunities! The office sells Scrip, which are gift cards to retailers to use like cash.  You get the amount that you pay for, but the school gets a percentage back on the sale. BoxTops (you can enter your receipt online and earn money for the school) and Amazon Smile are also ways for ILS to earn money. Thanks for all the support!

I collect poptabs, which are taken to Riley Children's Hospital. They are converted to help families who stay at the Ronald McDonald House.

In His service,

Mrs. Bell
