Helping your child reread the stories each night builds fluency.  Keep up the good work!  It shows when we reread the stories again the next morning.

WRITING

We generated a diagram about penguins.

Math

We worked on adding 3 numbers together.

REMINDERS:

November 25-December 6, 2024

There will be no book report in December.

The Christmas Concert is on Dec. 5 and starts at 6pm.  If your child is in the Joyful Sounds Choir (Friday morning choir) he/she will be singing in the concert.

Each year we have a "Christmas Activity Afternoon".  In order to be successful I need a few things.  I am looking for volunteers to lead a craft station from 1:20-3:00.  I also need a container of white icing, sprinkles, and 18 sugar cookies. (Plain)  If you are able to help out just send me a note.  Thanks.

Christmas Party notes will come home in the folder on Nov. 26.

If your child has an extra---you might send an extra hoodie or ? for your child to keep in his/her locker for chilly days.  Our room has 2 outside walls and can feel cold at times during the winter.

Now that the stores tell us it's "Christmas" I just wanted to say that there is no need to purchase this teacher a holiday gift.  If the spirit of giving is upon you than I would ask for a classroom gift such as: markers, glue sticks, playground ball, jump rope, sidewalk chalk or bags of malt-o-meal cereal (tootie fruties or chocolate chip cookie bites--sometimes we need a little snack at milk time) or ask your child for an idea.  Thanks!
