He is Risen! He is Risen, Indeed!
Food collection ends Wednesday. We have a friendly competition between us and 1E. The class who brings the most Mac and Cheese will win the opportunity to play in the end of year Kickball tournament!!
The children who sing in Joyful Sounds will meet in Mrs. Spieker's room between 5:30 and 5:50. You will collect your child after we sing from their seat in the Big gym. We sit on the north wall.
The kids are doing a fantastic job when we are practicing for our musical. We know that the kids will be nervous, but we practice a lot to make it more natural for them to calm their nerves. We are reminding them daily to talk LOUDLY and SLOWLY. We are encouraging some action when they speak their lines, too. Thanks for all of your help to make our play successful!
You may send in your child's costume any time before May 7th.
We will go on a field trip to Muscatatuck on May 19. We will be riding in cars. More information will come home soon. If you are interested in driving to the field trip, you will need to fill out a volunteer form (if you have not already) and give a copy of your driver's license and insurance form to the office-BEFORE May 16.
Some dates to put on your calendar are:
Rion will bring something to keep us guessing.
Happy birthday to Hayes!
Hayes is our "Star of the Week." His pictures will be posted on our board and he will have an opportunity to share some things about himself.
We will collect offerings on Mondays. Our offering for April will go to Community Provisions. We have, also, been asked to donate boxes of Macaroni and Cheese. Usually, this collection is a competition to get us into the end of year KickBall Tourney. Thank you for being a blessing to others!
Our school has lots of Fund raising opportunities! The office sells Scrip, which are gift cards to retailers to use like cash. You get the amount that you pay for, but the school gets a percentage back on the sale. BoxTops (you can enter your receipt online and earn money for the school) and Amazon Smile are also ways for ILS to earn money. Thanks for all the support!
I collect poptabs, which are taken to Riley Children's Hospital. They are converted to help families who stay at the Ronald McDonald House.
In His service,
